Cherry Turnovers

Have a cherry good day with this delicious and easy turnover recipe. Grab some puff pastry and cherry pie filling and you'll be on your turnover way!

Ingredients

  • 1 box puff pastry
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Slice puff pastry into 8 squares. Add cherry pie filling to the center of each square.
  3. Dip a brush or finger in the water and place around the edges. Then fold in the puff pastry from one corner to the other to create a triangle. Be sure to close the filling inside.
  4. Use a fork to press and seal the edges together, or pinch with your fingers.
  5. Place prepped turnovers onto a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Whisk one egg in a small bowl with water. Then brush on top of each pastry. Sprinkle with sugar (optional).

Bake for about 20-25 minutes until your turnovers are golden brown.
